In the Philippines; Tapis refers to a single piece of cloth one wraps around oneself as clothing. This muli-way tapiz can be worn as a bandana, scarf, top, or skirt — endless possibilities just with a bit of creativity.
The Sirena colorway is an overdye between Mangga leaves and Indigo created with traditional techniques handed down through generations of the indigenous Itneg/Tingguian people. The blue hues are extracted from the native Indigo plant in northern Abra, while Mangga leaves produce the green color. We have very limited trees in circulation so we've been wary of its use in our pieces. This just makes each piece extra special <3
